Lars, employed by Rise, collaborates with 23 Swedish cities in the Climate Neutral Cities 2030 initiative, providing coordination, transition support, and systemic-level change management. In his role at Viable Cities, Lars acts as a thought leader and boundary spanner for the Climate Cities 2020 mission, passionate about translating theory into practice and implementing radical change. With a background in politics, public administration, academia, business, and innovation systems, Lars has been involved in sustainability and climate work since 2004. From 2019 to 2021, Lars worked within Climate Neutral Uppsala 2030 and closely with Climate Neutral Enköping 2030 as an innovation leader and advisor.
