The global maritime industry is changing rapidly in line with the Green Transition, and ports can be key actors as multimodal hubs for smart and sustainable mobility and logistics. The ports and their eco-systems are important drivers of innovation, testing and thus also shaping for our future. By utilising renewable energy sources, implementing artificial technology, machine learning, IoT, digital twins, automation and other new or improved technology, Norway´s ports can improve safety and better plan operations. They may even be a force for change for good well beyond the parameters of the port itself.
This workshop focuses on the hurdles to increasing the speed of change, and is organsised by EDIH Oceanopolis, a national hub for digitalisation funded by the EU and the Norwegian government.
