Rolf Johnsen is Head of Climate & Energy in Aarhus Municipality, Denmark, and is leading its transition towards climate neutrality in 2030.

Aarhus municipality consists of both the city of Aarhus (the second largest city in Denmark), its satellite towns as well as agricultural and forest areas. This sets a very diverse scene for tackling the climate crisis. Aarhus municipality is currently finalizing the Climate City Contract which will particularly focus on multifunctional land use, private public partnerships, and stakeholder involvement.
